| Patch tests using Ayurvedic Soaps were performed
on 20 male and female volunteers of different ages. A soap and water
solution was applied to the skin after it had been cleansed with alcohol.
The skin irritation values, recording responses such as edema and
rashes, were taken after 15 minutes, 24, 48 and 72 hours. Patch tests using Ayurvedic Oils and Cosmetic Products were performed on 20 male and female volunteers of different ages. The product tested was applied to the skin, undiluted and occluded. The skin irritation values, recording responses such as edema and rashes, were taken 15 minutes and 24 hours after application. The first series of graphs relating to the individual products refers to the percentage of irritation responses out of the total number of applications. The second series refers to the irritation rate recorded for each individual product. The irritation rate is a very important item of data as it reveals the total number of evaluation points covering both rashes and edema. As we can see from the graph, none of Divya products, Oils, Soaps and Cosmetics, produced values exceeding 0,2, demonstrating the excellent level of tolerability and high affinity with the skin characterising the substances used.
